Froglets are well-started and at least 3-4 months out of water. All froglets are readily eating dusted fruit flies. Dendrobates leucomelas do well in groups but intrasex aggression can still occur.

Dendrobates leucomelas Standard/Nominant, often nicknamed the Bumblebee Dart Frog is found in parts of Brazil, Colombia and Venezuela. This is a separate locality of Dendrobates leucomelas and must be kept separately from other morphs/locales.

Considered an excellent frog for first time keepers, Dendrobates leucomelas is a hardy frog that displays well. With a moderately loud trilling call, ability to be kept in groups and their bold black on yellow coloration Dendrobates leucomelas are a fantastic frog.
